What is Sky Rewards?
Sky Rewards is Tropic Air’s loyalty program. Members earn Sky Travel Miles to redeem for free flights and tours, and Sky Loyalty Points to earn status and unlock additional benefits.
Enrollment & Account Information
What name should I enter when creating my account?
Please enter your name exactly as it appears on the government-issued ID you will use when traveling.
Why do you ask for my phone number during enrollment?
We may use your phone number to contact you if there’s an issue with your email address or to assist with your account.
Can I change my email address?
Yes. You can change your email address inside your customer portal on the website or the app.
How do I login to my Sky Rewards account?
Access to your Sky Rewards account is available via our website at any time. Simply click here to login using your Sky Rewards number.
Where can i find my Sky Rewards number?
You Can:
- Check your booking confirmation or previous itineraries
- Search your email for your Sky Rewards welcome email
- Contact us at skyrewards@tropicair.com for assistance
What if I accidentally created more than one account?
If you have duplicate accounts, please email skyrewards@tropicair.com for assistance in maintaining one active account.
How can I change the name on my Sky Rewards account?
If your name has legally changed since joining the program, we can assist in updating it. Please provide supporting legal documentations such as a marriage license, or official name change document.
Earning Miles & Points
How do I earn Sky Travel Miles?
You earn miles every time you fly with Tropic Air. Miles are earned per dollar spent on eligible fares, based on your tier.
How are miles calculated?
- Earnings are based on one-way fares
- Round-trip tickets earn a 10% bonus
- Government taxes, fees, and special promotions do not earn miles
Can I receive credit for flights taken before I joined Sky Rewards?
No. Miles and points are only earned on flights taken after enrollment.
How can I avoid missing miles?
- Add your Sky Rewards number when booking
- Check that your number appears on your itinerary
- Keep your travel documents until miles appear in your account
Can I earn miles for someone else’s flight?
No. Miles are earned only by the person who travels.
Birthday Miles
Do Sky Rewards members receive birthday miles?
Yes! All members age 2 and older receive birthday miles every year based on their tier.
Do birthday miles count toward tier status?
No. Birthday miles are for redemption only and do not count toward status qualification.
Miles Posting & Missing Miles
When are miles credited to my account?
Please allow up to 10 business days after travel for miles to post.
How do I report missing miles?
You can submit a missing miles request using our simple form. You’ll need your flight number and travel details.

Redeeming Miles
What can I use my miles for?
Miles can be redeemed for:
- Free Tropic Air flights
- Select guided tours in Belize, including scenic flights

Are taxes and fees charged on award travel?
Yes. Taxes and applicable fees (typically around USD $6) apply to all reward tickets.
Can I book a reward ticket for someone else using my miles?
Yes, you may use your miles to book flights for another traveler.
Can I pay part miles and part cash?
No. Reward tickets must be booked entirely with miles, plus applicable taxes and fees.
Can I reinstate miles if I cancel a reward ticket?
Yes. Miles can be reinstated after cancellation (a reinstatement fee may apply), or the ticket may be changed to another eligible flight (change fees may apply).
Tier Status & Benefits
How does tier status work?
Sky Rewards has four tiers: Member, Preferred, Premier, and Elite.
Tier status is evaluated on a calendar-year basis (January 1–December 31) based on Sky Loyalty Points earned.
Why did my tier change?
Your Sky Rewards tier is reviewed each year based on the points you earn. If you reach the points needed for a higher tier, you’ll be upgraded automatically — and if your travel was lighter this year, your tier may adjust, with plenty of opportunities to earn your way back up.
Expiration & Transfers
Do miles expire?
Miles remain active as long as you fly with Tropic Air at least once every 12 months.
Can I transfer my miles to another member?
No. Miles are not transferable between accounts.
